Circumcision

Circumcision consists of removing the foreskin, the skin covering the glans. It is one of the most common procedures in urology. It may be performed for medical reasons — phimosis (foreskin too tight), repeated infections, functional discomfort — or at the request of families for cultural or religious reasons. Although it is a simple procedure, circumcision deserves to be performed under proper surgical conditions: operating theater, sterile equipment, appropriate anesthesia and an experienced surgeon.
