Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)
Cosmetic surgery of the upper and lower eyelids to correct excess skin and bags, and open up the gaze.
What is it?

When is it indicated?
When excess skin falls onto the eyelid and weighs down the gaze, its removal reopens the eye and refreshes the expression.
Bags under the eyes give a permanently tired look; the procedure makes them disappear lastingly.
When those around you say you look tired even though you sleep well, eyelid surgery restores the natural brightness of the gaze.
Loose, crinkled skin under the eyes can be discreetly tightened, with a scar hidden just below the lashes.
When drooping skin ends up interfering with vision, its removal brings both daily comfort and a more open gaze.
Preparation
Procedure
Local anaesthesia, with sedation or general anaesthesia depending on the case
Incisions concealed in the eyelid crease or below the lashes
Removal of excess skin and treatment of fatty bags
Very fine sutures
Application of cool compresses in the recovery area
Return home the same day in most cases
Duration
45 minutes to 1 hour 30 depending on the eyelids treated
Aftercare & Recovery
The stitches are removed within a few days and bruising fades quickly, and can be concealed with light make-up. The gaze appears rested and open, with a natural result that lasts for many years.
