Comprehensive nutritional assessment

A complete evaluation of eating habits, body composition and nutritional needs — the starting point of any personalised support programme.

What is it?

The nutritional assessment is the first step of any dietary support programme. It provides a precise overview of your situation: eating habits, meal patterns, everyday preferences and constraints, medical history, physical activity and personal goals. The evaluation includes an in-depth interview with the nutritionist, body composition measurements (weight, muscle-to-fat distribution, waist circumference) and a review of any laboratory results the patient brings along. This comprehensive approach makes it possible to identify the strengths of your diet and the areas that can be improved. At the end of the assessment, the nutritionist provides a clear summary and, if the patient wishes, proposes a tailored support programme: dietary rebalancing, a weight-loss programme, therapeutic nutrition or preparation for bariatric surgery. At Clinique Pasteur Tunis, the nutritional assessment takes place in a supportive, judgement-free setting. The goal is never to impose a restrictive diet, but to build with each person a sustainable way of eating that fits their tastes and lifestyle.
Comprehensive nutritional assessment

When is it indicated?

Wanting to rebalance your diet

The assessment reviews your current habits and identifies simple, realistic adjustments for eating better every day.

Excess weight or difficulty managing your weight

Understanding your diet and body composition is the first step towards reaching and maintaining a healthy weight over the long term.

Fatigue or digestive discomfort related to diet

Some everyday discomforts are explained by what you eat: the assessment helps pinpoint what is causing problems and how to remedy it.

Preparing for a weight-loss programme or bariatric surgery

The assessment is the starting point of any structured support programme, setting goals suited to each situation.

Chronic disease requiring dietary adaptation

In case of diabetes, high cholesterol or another chronic disease, the assessment allows the diet to be adapted in line with the medical treatment.

Returning to sport with nutritional goals

Nutrition supports physical effort: the assessment helps adjust your intake to sustain training and recovery.
